Experimenting with a new one-off Eurorack case series — Artifact #001

I’ve been experimenting with a slightly different idea in the workshop and thought I’d share it here.

From time to time I build custom Eurorack cases, but recently I decided to start something new called the Uryan Modular Artifact Series.

The idea is simple:
every once in a while I build a completely unique case outside my regular lineup. These are experimental builds where I try new shapes, finishes or ideas that I wouldn’t normally use in production cases.

Each Artifact case will be:

• a one-off build
• never reproduced
• slightly experimental in design

This one is Artifact #001 — Aurora Drift.

Specs:

6U / 104HP
Purple metallic paint with purple–blue–green chameleon lacquer
Waxed and polished to a satin shine

On the technical side I decided to overpower the power distribution a bit compared to normal builds.

Power specs:

+12V — 5A
−12V — 2.5A
+5V — 2A

Also doing something a little different with these builds:
10% of the final sale price will be donated to a local animal rescue shelter.

Curious what you think about the Artifact idea.
