OINP Foreign Workers Stream eligibility

Hello everyone,

I applied under the OINP Foreign Worker Stream about a year ago, but my NOC code (22233) has not received any invitations during this time. My work permit will expire at the end of this month.

If my employer keeps my profile active in the OINP Employer Portal and is still willing to hire me if I receive an invitation, would it be possible for me to return to my home country and wait for a draw from there?

Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows if this is allowed?
