Do ‘winning products’ really exist ?

I’m doing product research right now and I’m starting to feel like the concept of finding THE product isn’t really real. It seems like almost any product can sell if it’s marketed well. People are making millions selling simple things like t-shirts, or cups of tea, or even ugly shoes etc. What do you guys think So I’m starting to think that maybe it’s more about the marketing, branding, and offer than the product itself. What do you guys think?
