37m4f Ireland. Lonely teacher seeking company
I’m not looking to escape my life or a way out. Just to be seen again.
I work in education, and my days are spent looking after kids, including my own, who are genuinely my world. I show up, I do the right things, and I try to be decent.
But somewhere between routines, responsibilities, and falling asleep on the couch, I realised I miss talking to someone who doesn’t already know every version of me. Not in a dramatic way. Not in a “let’s ruin everything” way. Just conversation that feels a bit alive again, chatting without an agenda, being curious about another person, and feeling quietly noticed.
This isn’t a plan or a fantasy about leaving. It’s not even particularly rebellious. It’s just wanting a connection that exists in words, knows its limits, and doesn’t need to become anything more.
If you’re someone with a full life who does their best and still feels that small, unspoken gap where a spark used to be, hello. If nothing else, maybe we just remind each other we’re still here.
