Oldskool

I gave myself the challenge to do Alaska with just a musket. no scents, no lures, no binos (i have the musket scope, but not allowed to shoot with.)

1. Should i be able to use binos and drop the scope? Reasoning is; dont think john everyday had a scope for his musket, and binos were a thing. Just no zoom.
2. Please give me some more challenges besides bow only. Am really enjoying the homebrewed challenge sofar.
