Building a privacy-first PDF tool. Is "No Ads + Low Price" a viable strategy against giants?

I’m building a privacy-focused PDF toolkit, and I’ve hit a few questions where I’d love your feedback from the SaaS community.

Most "free" tools keep user data for hours and are buried in ads. I decided to go the opposite way: immediate file deletion and zero ads.

Here is what I’m struggling with:

  1. Minimalism vs. Features: Should I keep it minimalist or add more "enterprise" features to justify a Pro plan?
  2. The Price Point: I’m testing a $18/year model to fight "subscription fatigue." Do you think this is too low to be taken seriously by pro users?
  3. Trust: How do I prove privacy to a skeptical user beyond just "trust me"?

I'm currently in early access and would honestly appreciate any feedback on the business model.

I'll drop the link in the comments if anyone wants to take a quick look at the UX. Thanks!
