French press...moka pot

DISCUSSION

I started using a French press about a year ago, mostly with milk and pre-ground coffee. It wasn’t very consistent some days I liked it, some days I didn’t. It felt decent but nothing special (I was using Davidoff back then).

Later I learned that moka pots are usually better for milk-based coffees. So started my Moka-pot journey Since last September with Grinder and fresh beans. It took sometime but the results are encouraging and then I got a bit bored and wanted to try something different. So I bought Curveball and Natakurinji. I didn’t like them with milk and went back with my usual beans

It’s been about two months, and today I had the last 20g left. I was planning to throw it away, but I thought why not try it with the French press. Surprisingly, it tasted on par with some V60 coffees I had in Vietnam last month.

Now I’ve ordered Hamīrkalyāni, Nalinakānti, and Dēvagāndhāri.

The reason I stopped using the French press earlier was because I kept seeing people say the “best” methods are V60 or Aeropress. But what I brewed today was genuinely good, even for someone who usually doesn’t enjoy plain black coffee.

What other coffees (beans/roasts/origins) should I try with a French press
