What happened?

First, this is 100% speculation as this situation will never come to light. I was writing this as a reply to a comment but I thought I’d like to know your opinions as well.

I’ve thought of a few possibilities of what happened, but honestly we will never know the full truth.

1. (Most likely) a combination of nutritional deficiencies and charlottes stress. (Katie won’t admit this)

2. Red bag delivery and Katie was too late.

3. Charlotte foaled alone and spooked or rejected the foal and stepped on it.

4. Katie was there, pulled and something went wrong here. (Placenta detached too fast, dropped foal, spooked charlotte…)

I don’t fully believe she was an actual stillborn as there and plenty of eye witnesses of fetal movement in the lives less than 24 hours of foaling. I think something went terribly wrong (which would explain Katie being as emotional as she was knowing she doesn’t really give 2 shits about charlotte) and Katie is trying to spin the narrative like she does. We won’t know the true extent of what happened to this foal.
