Irregular period?

I got pregnant in November last year but unfortunately miscarried at around 8 weeks. My husband (31) and I (28) had been trying for a couple months and were thrilled when we saw the positive test. After the miscarriage, we mostly just waited for my period so we could start trying again.

I got my period on 1/29. That cycle we weren’t very focused on TTC because I had a GI virus and felt pretty awful. My cycles are usually very regular — about 28–30 days — so I expected my next period around 2/26–2/28.

It’s now March 5 and I still haven’t gotten my period. I took a pregnancy test just to be sure and it was negative. I’m almost never late, and if I am it’s usually just by a day or two.

Has anyone experienced something similar after a miscarriage? Did it take a couple cycles for your period to regulate again? I always thought that once you got your first period after a miscarriage, your cycle would go back to normal, so I’m a little confused why this one is late.
