Changes to common law status

Hello all

I recently updated my online CRA account to show my common law spouse - we became common law on July 2024 but neither of us realised we had to update (first common-law partnership for my spouse and I am not originally from Canada so did not know it was a change required before marriage).

I had an update today that I owe GST back which is fine but there is a part of the explanation that says

The CRA's records show that your current marital status is not the same as the one that was used to calculate your 2023 GST/HSTC/BCCATC. As a result, it cannot be determined if you are still entitled without the following information: - confirmation by you and your spouse or common-law partner of your marital status and the date of the change The CRA needs to know your spouse's or common-law partner's 2023 net income to calculate your credit. If this individual immigrated during 2023 or after, their date of entry and how much world income, converted to Canadian dollars, they earned before coming to Canada is needed.

I was just wondering where on our separate online CRA accounts can we update this?

We are just getting ready to file our 2025 taxes but want to make sure everything else is in order first
