Which protocol is best for performance?

I have a barrage of e1 pros reporting feeds to frigate on home assistant OS. That copies to a NAS for long term video retrieval/investigations.

It works fairly well but sometimes cameras just aren't responsive when I go to review them on reolink app for immediate/live viewing.

I'm brand new to all of this after degoogling my house. So any advice is appreciated. Currently I'm pulling rtsp to frigate for each camera with username/password. Other than that it's stock reolink. Anything I can do to improve the performance of the cameras? The wireless network is not saturated, the channel is otherwise free and the latency is ~-60db.
