1975..I wonder if they remember printing this?

The Watchtower, dated May 1, 1968. Article “Making Wise Use of the Remaining Time” Published in The Watchtower – May 1, 1968 Key Passage The article discussed the approaching end of the system and said:

“In view of the short time left, a decision to pursue a career in this system of things is not only foolish but extremely dangerous… the time remaining is reduced to only a few years, at most.”

The article then linked the urgency to the belief that 6,000 years of human history would soon end around 1975.

It also told young Jehovah’s Witnesses:

“If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things.”

This statement reflected the strong expectation in the late 1960s that Armageddon would occur before young people aged into old age.

I was born in 1974, so I am now 51..I have definitely grown older!
