I have had it with world constantly blaming mental illness instead of this fucked up system

Every time someone dies by suicide, people blame it on mental illness like it’s the only reason. As if suffering quietly for decades, fighting to survive in a world that offers no real help is somehow your fault.

“Oh they died of depression” as if that person didn’t try everything in their power to fix it until they just couldn’t anymore, but somehow the responsibility is always on the mentally ill to just magically heal. As if one just presses a button and heals, ignoring the mental strength required to even begin to get help, let alone all the loops and hoops and medical abuse and horribleness all around that one would have to deal with.

But what about the system that leaves people suffering? The care that’s inaccessible, unaffordable, or cruelly bureaucratic. The endless dead ends, the waitlists, the hopelessness. The world says “we tried” while watching lives end under weight no one person should ever bear.

I’m so angry and so heartbroken.
