Leave Costco for Coors?

Edit with your location

29M, have been working for Costco for almost 9 years now. I’m making over $30 hour, and time and a half on Sundays. I work 4a-12:30p as a stocker. It’s a pretty physical job, but I’ve never really struggled with that aspect of it. I have over 100k in my 401k and as a FT employee the benefits are pretty damn great. As of the start of the year I’m a limited part time employee for Costco.

I got a job at Coors Brewery in Golden as of January this year. I wanted a gig with better hours so I can

enjoy more of my time away from work. They hired me on as a “Temporary” employee @$24 an hour. Right now my schedule is 4days on/4 off 12hr shifts 7a-7p. Lots of opportunities for OT. Some days you’re even forced to work OT if not enough people sign up for it. To get a FT spot you have to apply for positions, interview well and hope $30 an hour for the best.. when/if hired on I’d be making $30 an hour. The benefits are good…but not Costco good. I’m not super crazy about what I’m doing there as far as job duties go. Yes there are a lot of positions I can go for. But they can be hard to get into unless someone retires, dies, or gets fired. If/when hired on you’d have to work the worst schedule they offer 7p-7a until you’ve built up enough seniority to work the day schedule.

My question is would I be making a mistake leaving my pay/seniority I’ve accumulated at Costco over the years to start over. Or should I take the risk and start over in a new career field?
