Domestic & General Scam/Ripoff

I should have known better, but Whirlpool sold this as the best option for getting our Kitchenaid dishwasher repaired. I was told they would cancel the plan if the dishwasher was unrepairable, so there would be no charge if they couldn't fix it.

They sent a repairperson out who said it was repairable, but it required a new tub. Then they told us the tub was backordered with no estimated date. I had Whirlpool check also. and they said none were available, and it could be months (or more) before they are available, if they ever become available. We can't wait an indefinite time for a new dishwasher, so I cancelled the plan so we could buy a new dishwasher. Even though they could not repair our dishwasher in a reasonable time, they insisted it was repairable and charged me over $200 to cancel the plan.

I feel they are claiming it is repairable when it really is not to rip me off. Domestic & General is a total scam. Do Not ever commit to any of their rip-off extended warranties.
