First day, and first funded. Any tips or notes?

I bought a 50k-funded account last night and traded at the NY market open this morning. I made $1,509 today, but I've been hearing things about making less than $1,500. Should I lose purposefully and go to $1,490? Also, my sizing is 1-2 cons on ES. Thanks guys.
