What are your fave sensory items or fidgets?

🎧 Sensory Issues

I really like the idea of sensory fidget toys, but I still feel like I do not fully understand how people use them. I have tried quite a few already. I have squishies, a couple of fidget cubes, some stretchy textured strings, and those little spiky rings people roll on their fingers. Some of them feel interesting for a few minutes, but then I am not sure what to do with them after that. Part of the problem might be timing. When I am working I need both hands to type, so I cannot really use most sensory fidget toys during that time. That leaves me wondering when people normally use them. The only sensory item I consistently enjoy is this extremely soft bread squishy I found online. It smells nice and feels amazing to squeeze, so sometimes I just sit there holding it and squishing it while watching something. When I was younger I used to rub the fabric on my baby blanket all the time because the texture felt calming. These days I sometimes find myself rubbing different fabrics on clothes or blankets for the same reason. I have seen a lot of sensory fidget toys online, but I still feel unsure which ones people genuinely use every day. What sensory items do you personally love using?
