Crush at teaching unit 2

UH students — what do you do in this situation?

There’s a guy who has class in the same building as me this semester (Teaching Unit 2). I realized we actually use the same classroom but at different times, so we pass each other pretty often when I’m leaving and he’s walking in.

It’s one of those quick pass by each other moments, so we’ve never actually talked. I’ve thought about smiling or saying hi but I end up overthinking it and just keep walking.

I’m curious what people at UH usually do in this situation. If you keep seeing the same person around campus/buildings, is it normal to say hi and start a conversation? Or do most people just leave it alone? I feel like it’s hard to approach someone because everyone has headphones on or on their phones.
