Oral Allergy syndrome to Birch after allergy shots.

Question

I started allergy shots in 2023. In 2025 a new allergist took over and started stronger shots and I had to start over again I am back in the maintaince phase. The reason I started the shots in the first place is due to a severe dust mite allergy causing sinus infections. I dont think it has made much difference. I have just been avoiding dust as much as possible. My other highest reaction to allergy testing is birch. I also have molds, grasses, ragweed and dog in my shots.

I take singular, xyzal, a saline nasal spray astepro and pepcid daily.

Over the last year I am developing oral allergy syndrome to birch related foods. Peanuts, tree nuts, strawberries and banana and maybe avocado? I have always had sensitive skin but I noticed I also cannot use floral fragrance of any kind. I switched to all fragrance free products.

My allergy NP did not think it was related to the shots but I didnt have this prior and I never really noticed major issues with outdoor allergies.

My question is has anyone experienced this? I assume this is a sign my birch pollen allergy is getting worse not better?

Other info: She also had me do genetic testing due to high typtase levels and I have HATS. All other testing was normal (24 urine other blood tests etc.)
