Experiences with starting Ryeqo after Mirena removal? Nervous about hormonal anxiety
Hi,
I’m looking for some personal experiences and advice. I had a Mirena IUD removed about 17 days ago (I only had it for 3 months), and I’m already experiencing very intense anxiety, panic waves in the evening, derealisation, and mood swings. My nervous system has been quite sensitive for years — and never tolerated hormones. This is a whole other ballgame though and I'm really struggling with what feels like a horrible, on-going comedown.
My doctor has now suggested starting Ryeqo, but I’m really nervous about it. I’m worried that I’ll go through another period of hormonal “crash” or instability, and that it could worsen my anxiety or derealisation - I can't deal with feeling like this again.
Has anyone started Ryeqo after Mirena removal? How long did it take to feel stable? Did it trigger anxiety or mood swings, and did they settle over time? Any advice or reassurance would be so helpful — I’m feeling really anxious about adding more hormonal changes right now. I'm considering just going straight for the hysterectomy, especially considering I'm 34 and buying myself a 2 extra years feels futile.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.
