First time in Rajasthan (Jaipur) – Solo trip from Mumbai | Need tips, places to visit & hostel suggestions

Hey everyone,

I’m a 26M traveling solo from Mumbai to Rajasthan for the first time. I’ll be attending a wedding from 9th–11th March, and I’ll finally have some time to explore after that.

My plan is to be free from 12th March afternoon until 14th March, when I’ll be taking a train back from Jaipur. So I essentially have about 1.5–2 days to explore.

Since this is my first time in Rajasthan and also a solo trip, I had a few questions and would really appreciate any advice from people who’ve been there.

Things I’m trying to figure out:

• What are some must-visit places in Jaipur if I only have ~2 days?
• Are there any hidden gems or unique experiences you’d recommend?
• Any food spots I absolutely shouldn’t miss?
• Is Zostel Jaipur a good place to stay for a couple of nights if I’ll mostly just be there to sleep? Or are there better hostels for solo travelers?

I enjoy:

• exploring local culture
• photography
• trying local food
• meeting other travelers

Also, are there any things I should keep in mind before visiting Rajasthan for the first time (weather, scams, transport tips, etc.)?
