Is Tokugawa providing bum weapons to Musashi on purpose or what?
I understand the original scene where Musashi first holds the katanas after being summoned and then breaks them with a swing.
Sure. Modern day blades, even sharpened ones, are mostly for display or choreography, not meant to actually be used in combat.
But during his fight with Retsu, Musashi keeps grabbing stuff from the pile and breaking them in one swing and being like: "This is not a sword".
Which makes no sense, because no way a sword forged like 400 years ago, where removing impurities from the steel was a nightmare, would be comparable to a modern day sword made for the same purpose. Hell, even 400 years ago katanas weren't the best quality sword type due to Japan's steel being total ass.
Since it's a deathmatch, I assumed every weapon in the pile is 100% made for the purpose of actual combat, and not display or choreography.
So either Tokugawa is providing weaponry from Temu so save money since he blew Bosnia's GDP on recreating Musashi, or Mushashi is on some bullshit lmao. I get that it's supposed to show his raw strength, but just makes no sense that he just breaks modern day high quality blades made for the purpose of combat but somehow a 400 year old sword made by some schmuck in a hut somehow can withstand his swings.
