I’m a girl and I had this girl friend. We used to go nightclubbing, hit up the town, and catch movies together. I remember one time at a party, we ended up cuddling for hours after sex and I kissed her head, telling her everything would be okay. She fell asleep on my chest for hours. Normally, I’d be vaping or scrolling on my phone, but that night we just slept. Before that, she came downstairs in a stunning red dress, and I was so taken aback that I couldn’t even speak; I just stood there, totally blanking on what led to all this. We were in college together, both with boyfriends. I surprised her for her birthday with some bath bombs from Lush. And on my birthday, since I didn’t get to celebrate it with her, I had two cakes already, so I asked the waiters to sing happy birthday to her and got her to blow out the candles. Did it seem like I was in love? Everyone in the restaurant, including the waiters, laughed, but I didn’t mind; I just wanted her to feel special.
