How would I create a 3D motion graphic with a replaceable logo?

Hi all! My internship recently gave me a position to help out with graphics. Most of it is pretty easy, but I volunteered to make a graphic showcasing the winning team of an HS basketball tournament. I've tried searching the web, but all I've been able to find as of late is AI slop, which is incredibly frustrating.

The team I'm making this for wants it done by this Monday. If push comes to shove, I will try to make the graphic by following the tutorial, and add in the logo with a flash of light or something, but that still won't fix the logo being replaceable. I could try using a null and then having my boss copy and paste the effects, but my boss isn't familiar with AE at all, so I would rather not risk it.
