Take a bad movie and fix it in this thread ( spoilers )

Just watched most of Apollo 18. Didn't really work, too muted, tension was built and then squandered.

Here is how I would fix it:

!Make the plot way more sinister. The previous Apollo missions came in contact with an extraterrestial civilization (the crab thingies), who gave the US government technology in exchange for human specimens. The specimens would be the crew of Apollo 18. They are essentially sent as human sacrifice for an alien god. This could be foreshadowed in the beginning of the movie, like, maybe an astronaut from the previous missions mentions something at the barbeque!<

!Instead of the whole lame Soviet-lander-crashing-into-the-moon-orbiter as a final scene, we see the crabs carrying Nate into an alien temple to be fed to a massive mother crab (think at least the size of a mountain on the moon) who then feeds on his brain and assimilates his memories. Ben and the dude in the orbiter actually manage to escape, but the government can't let them live so they manipulate their trajectory so that they are sent into outer space, all the while looking down at the crab alien city on the dark side of the moon.!<

I mean, Apollo 18 is not a bad movie actually, just a little boring.

Anyway, anyone else have a movie in mind which needs fixing? and an idea how to fix them?
