Neighborhood + general advice please! 🙏 33f

Hi everyone! 👋 I just received a job offer in Denver paying $65K and I’m trying to figure out if that’s realistically doable with the cost of living. Don’t want to accept move and set myself up for failure.

The office is in Greenwood Village, so I’ll be commuting ideally would like to keep it to 20-25mins. I’m a 33F moving from Milwaukee and hoping to find a neighborhood that’s reasonably safe and within a manageable commute. I’m an artist and enjoy coffee shops, music venues, biking and outdoor walks.

Budget-wise I’d ideally like to stay around $1200 if possible (I know that may be tough), with $1600 as my absolute max since I don’t want to be stretched too thin.

So far I’ve been looking at Baker, Cap Hill, Platt Park, and Wash Park, but I’m open to suggestions. Parking availability would also be important since I’ll have a car.

For those familiar, does $65K feel manageable, and are there neighborhoods you’d recommend that balance safety, community, and commute to Greenwood Village?

Thanks for any insight!
