My version of the bite of '87

Text

Lately, I've been seeing lots of comparisons on what's worse, if the Hour of Joy in PPT or the Bite of '87 from FNAF, and I mean, it's an absurd comparison because, for starters, the hour of joy is a completely stablished event that's a before and after for PPT's lore, while the bite of '87 is just something barely mentioned and treated as something really important while... It kinda isn't which is weird. So, as a starter for my personal project of rewriting FNAF's lore in my style, I started with the bite, taking the elements from the hour of joy, them being:

  1. It's an absolute and chaotic tragedy.

  2. It's a before and after for the lore.

So this is what I came up with, basing myself on how the lore used to be during the first trilogy of games, retconning when are the children killed by William Afton in the timeline, and written as a police report. Hope you enjoy!

The Bite of ‘87

Report: About the recent events at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza during June 26th, 1987. Written on the day July 6th, 1987.

On Friday, June 26, 1987, a terrible tragedy occurred at the second Freddy Fazbear's Pizza franchise location. Witness reports indicate it was a normal day, with a birthday celebration taking place. The event was interrupted when one of the animatronic robots, known as Foxy—whom employees had begun calling "The Mangle" due to the constant mistreatment by children visiting the restaurant—activated a sound that witnesses described as "disturbing" while staring with red eyes at security guard Jeremy Fitzgerald; in a matter of seconds, The Mangle had climbed to the roof of the place and taken a bite of mister Fitzgerald, making a severe injury in the frontal lobe.

The scene, as witnesses claim, turned very quickly from a single party to absolute chaos. Some children and adults tried to escape the place, and reportedly some of them just stared at the grotesque sight of the wounded individual, some others tried to help him.

Fortunately, mister Fitzgerald was saved and is currently resting at the [REDACTED] Hospital. It’s amazing to know a person can survive without their frontal lobe. There were no more injured individuals aside from him.

This report, otherwise, was not only written because of said tragedy. It is written because a group of parents went to the local police station to report the disappearance of their children. The commonality of them being that they were at the event people are now calling “The Bite” with their children, and that, after the chaos had calmed down, they couldn’t find them.

During the past week, our team has been investigating the disappearance of these five children. We investigated the now closed location of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, which is still being surveilled until the inspection is over. The current security guard, Fritz Smith, helped us quite more than we expected. Certainly, a unique character, since he smells and looks like a rotten corpse.

Mister Smith shared the security camera footage of the place during the bite. At first, we just had a glance at the grotesque moment of mister Fitzgerald’s demise and the chaos that unwrapped right after. But mister Smith showed us something more, something no one seemed to have noticed in the middle of that chaos and confusion.

We saw the five disappeared children, being lured by one undisclosed individual wearing one mascot suit. Mister Smith explained to us that the character was a yellow rabbit named Spring Bonnie, which was one of the first mascots under the franchise’s name back when the location was called Fredbear’s Family Diner. The footage shows this man in the Spring Bonnie suit luring the five kids into a backroom, in the audio of the tape, he can be heard telling them it’s for their safety. The footage of said backroom just shows the man tampering with the camera, shutting the video off, but not the audio, which we heard, and is just as disturbing as the video footage of the bite. In said audio, we heard how this man locked the room and slaughtered the five children in cold blood.

We investigated the room of the slaughter, but we found nothing. The man in the Spring Bonnie suit had cleaned it up just after killing those poor children, and the suit had disappeared with him.

Me and my team find this event completely outrageous and have come to the unanimous conclusion of having the owners, Mister Henry Emily and Mister William Afton, to close down the place. Upon further investigation, we discovered that their past locations had been closed due to similar tragedies surrounding kids, their kids; with Mister Afton’s younger child having his head crushed after his older brother forced him inside the Fredbear character’s jaw; and with Mister Emily’s only child, Charlotte disappearing at the first location of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

As of today, my team and I request to forbid misters Henry Emily and William Afton from opening new locations for their franchises, since they seem to be cursed with the death of children.

End of report.
