Planned, postponed and suddenly everything fell into place

We have been planning since 2024. The plan was always to get married in 2026. End of last year we decided to postpone it - there was just too much going on in our separate families and around us. We were not feeling it - planning was HARD! We decided on eloping, then we postponed all planning and talk of the wedding.. Even though we have both always been so very excited to be husband and wife.

Well, some time with no wedding talk had passed - and then yesterday I was at the dentist, waiting in the chair, and I saw the date on a screen and had this feeling like “I’m forgetting something important” and then I remembered that it was the date for signing up for our ceremony at the townhall (4 months before) that was coming up. And right then I just knew - screw it all. All the planning, the drama, the expectations and decisions.

So that night I asked my fiancé if he wanted to get married on the original date, he said yes, and we agreed to just put on some nice clothes, get married at the townhall and invite our closest people for a nice dinner and party at a all-included venue. Ta-da!

And now I finally feel like a bride-to-be. We’re going to see some places this week and I just can’t wait for him to be my husband and for us to spend our future together ❤️
