I'm a newcomer. Got a Red (1996), it kills absolutely everything. Is he the most powerful trainer? Do I need anyone else?

I could never play this game before (it wouldn't run on my phone), and I feel lucky as I wasn't affected by the loading glitch despite having created my account last week.

I am surprised with how Red nukes anything in his way in two turns. I'm using him with Silver-Ho-oh and Giovanni-Rhydon or Gio and Red-Snorlax (I know Silver doesn't fit but he's my fav ok). How many OP sync pairs like him exist? I haven't found any tier list updated for the new anniversary sync pairs.
