Call me ignorant
but it took me 9 years and some knowledge of world war II and the entire incident of Dunkirk history and about 5 rewatches i am assured that Nolan did capture the emotion of the event as a whole I'm aware people are complaining that we were not made emotionally with soldiers (Characters of the movie) but that was never the point of the movie Have some sense why would they name a movie after an event and then don't show the entire event as a whole I understand that screenplay was confusing when we watched it in theaters back in 2017 but upon my 5th rewatch I can say Nolan's direction and screenplay does Justice.
