Built a Notion template to track freelance/solopreneur profit (not just revenue)
Most freelancers track revenue. I built a system to track actual profit.
**The problem:**
$10K project sounds great until you realize:
- Your time: $3,200 (80hrs @ $40/hr market rate)
- Project costs: $400
- Business overhead: $200
Real profit: $6,200 (62% of revenue)
**What I built:**
Notion template with 12 databases that auto-calculates:
- Labor costs (your hours × market rate)
- Project expenses vs business expenses (separated)
- Expected revenue vs actual cash received
- 3 profit types: project profit, net profit, take-home profit
Includes complete demo data so you can see how it works immediately.
Built this after realizing it's not just about revenue—your time and even small expenses can cut your take-home profit in half.
Happy to answer questions!
