NOWHERE NEAR DONE. Avoiding chicken due to some possible sensitivies(every food he's had with it he was either throwing up or as he is currently he is having a lot of poop issues). New vet said it was his food, old vet never considered that. Got told to switch him off and the search basically came up dead with the food available nearby for his age group(puppy) everything has chicken or chicken products. I'm going with what I can FIND.

I looked at premade but everytime I think I found one I find out something bad so I'm backing away from that. Planning the food not doing it rn. This includes none of the supplements I know will need to be added. Currently looking at Zesty paws multivitamin POWDER (which I called the store and confirmed there's no chicken in the powder but there is some in the bites), native pet the daily, and just possibly figuring out what food to throw in to balance it without the use.

I know he'll need bones but idk if he might revert back to not chewing his food so might try bone broth if that works instead or see if I can powder the bones? If not bones only when supervised. Forgot to put eggs and eggshell powder on the list. We have chickens and ducks on the property. I'll eventually have quail and will use those instead for eggs.

Looking into finding a vet nutritionist for help but having some issues there(mostly cost because most of the ones I found first session is >$200 and apparently they'll require multiple sessions). If I gotta fork over a paycheck I will do so but trying to avoid that. 😓

He's currently 17 pounds. His age is kinda funky rn. I took him for a tooth exam(found blood on a toy he just lost a tooth thank goodness but it was cheap to get it looked at) and vet said he was 4-5 months but I've had him for almost 5 now so my friend took his litermate to the vet and the estimate for her was 7-8 months. We don't know the age.

Please no one get mad I'm TRYING. I'm just also dealing with the puppy pooping everywhere from the food as well. I'm good at research I'm about to start deep diving again.

What do y'all think of this?
