How complicated is it to install rgb led light strips under the gunwale on a 2021 pursuit S268?

How complicated is it to install rgb led light strips under the gunwale on a 2021 pursuit S268?

Would it be a better option to replace the 5 floor level courtesy lights with a red and blue led courtesy light or is that not an option because they are probably two wire?

Thanks
