Penalties System Error?

Anyone else having the experience of receiving notifications that people inting / AFK'ing your games are getting penalties a day or so after your game, but you don't get an LP loss reduction or outright LP refund as a result of the penalty coming in so late?

Seems like it's happening more than usual recently. I'm seeing the notification that "X" person is getting penalised (which is good), but then no impact on my LP.

It's definitely from the game with me, because usually that's the last ranked game played by the AFKs / trolls when I've checked. Seems weird.
