Published my first opensource utility
I have been developing many different platforms and personal projects, none of them have ssen the light (maybe some of them will, in the future), the thing is I decided to move to a VPS to host all of them, and tried to replace some parts of my stack with self hosted services
there was this product "Bytescale" which I was using, and paying, it is a great product in my opinion, but since my projects are not generating revenue, it did not make sense to me to pay for that (and other) products in my stack
long story short, I created a small utilitary project to replace that from my stack, I am currently using it in my personal project
I do not advise to use this in serious production stacks, but perhaps this will be a helpful utility for someone else
did I create something revolutionary? No, I just used different products/services that already exists, and added some sort of service in the middle to unify the api and orchestrate how they operate
in summary, you have a self hosted solution to handle files for your small projects or personal project IF YOU WANT
the reason to make this post is so this does not get lost, and to reach a person that might want to use this, I am not planning on making a SaaS out of this in particular, nor am I planning to put a lot of effort in further evolving it
but yeah... just that!
