Usertesting web & mobile don't match, emails about new tests lead to nothing, and surveys appear duplicated a dozen times and keep coming back, is this normal???
Hi all,
I've been on Usertesting for about a week roughly, and it seems unuseable for me. Pretty much as the title says, if I log in on PC I go to the website and under "Available tests" most of the time it will come up with one with a QR code saying its for IOS or Android tablet /or phone, if I scan the QR code with the relevant device it just goes to the app store page even though I have the app installed, but if I open the app nothing shows under tests. And the reverse happens on the app as well, I'll open the app and it will say there is a test available for PC, so I got to my PC and log into the site and it says no tests are available!
Aside from that all I've been getting are emails saying a new test is available, these have always been surveys (mostly $1, some claiming $10 but I haven't qualified for one of those yet, and only 2x $1 ones out of the tonnes it's offered a day), but when I go through the surveys I have a few pages of screener questions only to then be told unlucky and given a "dismiss" message, then the exact same survey with the exact same screener questions will appear another dozen times in duplicate below it (each one looking like a new test and I only find out when I click on it and go through the exact same thing). Then to top it off, those exact same surveys come back a day or two later, each time having the duplicate issue. As an example my surveys tab now shows (4) on the tab, then if I go to it it displays either none, or a moment ago the $1 same one listed 12 times!
I'd heard good things about this app and that you get offered proper tests like the practice/screener one where you record your screen and voice etc whilst looking at a site, but so far the platform seems like a broken mess that is just another low quality survey platform. I've cleared cache, cookies, used two different PCs, two different phones and one tablet, so it doesn't seem to be a setting or device issue.
