I built a prototype to replace the PDF catalog + WhatsApp chaos. Exporters — would you actually pay for this?
Hey everyone,
I'm a 22-year-old from Jaipur building tools for textile and handicraft exporters. One problem kept coming up when I talked to exporters here: You send a PDF catalog on WhatsApp → silence → you have no idea if the buyer even opened it, what they liked, or when to follow up. So I built a working prototype of a smarter catalogue platform. Here's what it does:
→ Live catalogue link instead of a PDF — buyers open it in browser, no download needed
→ Real-time interest alerts — you get notified when a buyer is actively browsing. It tells you "Buyer has been on the Gold Jewelry section for 45 seconds" so you know exactly when to follow up on WhatsApp
→ Wishlist → WhatsApp in one tap — buyer selects what they want, hits a button, and a pre-written WhatsApp message with all the item details goes directly to you. No typing item codes, no copy-paste
→ Analytics dashboard — see views, leads, and conversion over 7/30/90 days
→ Low stock alerts — get warned before you market something you can't ship
Here's the live demo (no login needed, works on mobile): https://claude.ai/public/artifacts/a39f6761-c6f4-4555-b4c9-48f199ef6c19
I'm trying to figure out if this is a real business or just a cool side project. So I'll ask directly:
Is the "buyer is browsing right now" alert actually useful, or creepy/overkill? Would your buyers use the Wishlist → WhatsApp button or just call you anyway? Would you pay ₹1500–2500/month for this? If not, what would make you say yes?
