Starting BMQ with some military experience

BMQ/BMOQ

Hi,

(TLDR included at the end)

Kind of conflicted about the feedback I received from people that did the BMQ before me. For context:

I'll be starting the BMQ soon and I feel really confident about the whole "game" that will take place. Before going to the BMQ, I was enlisted as a COATS officer and spent summers at different military bases and worked closely with NCM for transport and supply groups. I also was a cadet for 6 years, but I know it's not the same thing as the real CAF. I'm already familiar with the inspections, standards, drill and the rough schedule and sleep deprivation. However, I was told to keep it low profile, don't show the instructors you know stuff because it'll put a target on your back, but I don't want to look clueless and lower my standard just to pass under the radar. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be the overconfident annoying guy that tries to correct everybody, but I definitely want to be of some use to my collegue and help with stuff I know. I plan to give my 110% and still plan to get yelled at. I'd never want to cross the finish line myself if it means someone behind me might not finish on their own, just like I'd like people to help me with stuff I have trouble with. I know I still have a great deal to learn from the instructors, but I really don't know how to act with pride and integrity without looking arrogant. Any thoughts?

TLDR : Am I wrong for starting BMQ with confidence toward stuff I'm already familiar with instead of keeping my basic knowledge low-profile?
