How many chickens can I put on 325m²/3500ft² to retain vegetation year-round?

So I have a chicken run of about 325m², I live in a mild wet climate (NW Europe) with clay soil. The Internet says 100 to 250 ft² per chicken but I know that that area per chicken will make a run bare dirt in no time.
