What is a teacher salary in the UK?

I am watching Netflix Blue Therapy and one of the couples said that the woman who is a teacher makes twice what her male partner, a bank manager, makes. Where I live teachers make 50K USD or sometimes even less and I would think ANYONE in banking would make more than that. How much are teachers making in the UK? How much are bank finance managers making?
