Hello, I’m currently trying to improve my backhand technique and would really appreciate some technical feedback.

I recently changed my setup and I’m still adapting to it. I’m now using a Fan Zhendong ALC with Battle II on the forehand and Dignics 09C on the backhand. I was already used to the 09C before, but with this blade the setup feels noticeably faster, although also more comfortable overall. Previously I was using Nittaku Flyatt Pro.

One issue I’ve had for a long time is that many of my backhand shots go long or too much to the diagonal side of the table.

My playstyle and technique are heavily inspired by the Chinese style, especially players like Fan Zhendong and Lin Shidong, but I’m clearly still missing something in the execution.

Based on the video, I’d really appreciate honest and critical feedback about my backhand technique.

Some specific things I’m wondering:

* Is my contact point too late?
* Am I opening the racket angle too much?
* Does my stroke rely too much on the arm instead of the body?

Any advice is welcome!
