Desk being moved away from obnoxious cow chewing coworker!

After almost exactly a year of complaining about this guy. Not just me, at least 2 others have complained that I know of.

All day long with this guy, it’s one of the following:

• Constant exasperated sighing (just counted 3 sighs in 30 seconds)

• Incredibly loud talking into his headset when on meetings (unsure if it’s a deafness thing, or a narcissist “look at me and my important meetings and contributions” thing)

• Loud chewing and smacking with his mouth open like a cow every 1.5 - 2 hour feeding session. It’s so loud it penetrates noise cancelling headphones with active noise cancellation.

Due to the number of complaints he’s been talked to by superiors and asked to keep down the volume multiple times. He would talk at a normal volume for maybe 30 mins after a visit from a manager, then it was right back to bloviating loudly into his headset. The chewing and sighing were never brought up, just his failure to use an indoor voice.

Ultimately I think no managers were willing to escalate to an official warning or anything so his inconsiderate behavior has not changed. The other 2 coworkers that complained already got the chance to move away and did.

This is my last day feeling like I sit next to a barn animal.
