2020 Macan Turbo- Oil Cooler Reseal Labor Quote- Does This Seem Right?
Hey everyone, looking for some help validating a repair quote before I approve it.
I have a 2020 Macan Turbo with almost 100k miles. My independent Porsche specialist (Gold Meister shop) is quoting me the following:
- Oil Cooler Reseal + Oil Filter Housing Reseal: $5,565.90 — parts are only ~$100, so roughly $5,465 in labor
- Coolant Leak Repair (water pump, control valve, changeover valve): $5,519.85 — $1,200 in parts, rest is labor
My questions:
- How many labor hours should an oil cooler reseal realistically take on the 3.0T Turbo engine?
- Does $5,465 in labor for that job seem reasonable to anyone who has had this done?
- Has anyone received an itemized invoice for similar work they'd be willing to share?
I'm not trying to lowball a good shop — just want to make sure I understand what I'm paying for before approving $11k in repairs. Any real world numbers would be hugely helpful. Thanks
