Dumb shite my servers have done
I did a post a while back, telling about my customers in the student run restaurant where I do my college course. Its only fair I do one for the staff
-
Only yesterday, we had a walk in and I told a lvl 1 to put water on the customers table (note: we usually get water on tables before customers arrive, a process this kid was aware of) she looked at me with all the seriousness a drunk kitten could muster.... "does she want still or sparkling"
-
Also yesterday, a lvl 2 very nearly put ginger ale in my cocktail shaker. Id told her before why we dont do that... she nearly did anyway
-
One of our tutors decided to eat in the restaurant on one of our lvl 1 shifts, he told his server, (The same lvl 1 from story 1) to watch his table... she stared at it for 15 minutes
-
A lvl 3 (while we were still level 2) thought itd be a good idea to ask a customer with a nut allergy if he was also allergic to peas, I asked her why and she confidently said "peas are nuts"
-
There was a lvl 2 a while back (thankfully he has since left the course) who repeatedly poured wine down an ice well, perfectly good wine.. down a full ice well. I even repeatedly explained why you dont do that... REPEATEDLY
-
The same lvl 3 from story 4 has a boyfriend who comes to our restaurant alot. You'd think that'd be fine right? WRONG. They full on snog infront of a full restaurant, and our tutors just don't react
-
Again, that same lvl 3 dropped a carrot down the back of a customers shirt when trying to silver serve... and walked off. She knew what she did
-
Im not proud to admit it but I (lvl 3) once bitched about a customer when her husband was right behind me... he was mostly deaf thank god but oh my god I couldve died even i realised
-
Also me, I called a customer to ask if they were still coming but I called the wrong customer, instead id called someone who was ALREADY SAT DOWN ðŸ˜
10, last but certainly not least... one of our lvl 2s has a habit of staring at customers while they eat... at their table, no blinking what so ever. I keep telling him not to do that but suffice to say that never goes well
