(Im not looking for professional advice or anything, just venting. Though any insight from anyone who has experienced this would be greatly appreciated.)

Just as the title says. I don't know where else to vent about this and I just today found this reddit community and i figured many would understand.

My sweet 13 year old tabby calico Nebula, (or Nebbie as we call her) was recently diagnosed with early stage 1 CKD. This was caught because I had noticed she wasn’t pooping.

We took her to the vet for the first time January 21st, where they gave her an enema since the poor thing was so backed up. We were then given orders to regularly give her Miralax, as well as an anti-inflammatory for some arthritis they found in her spine on an x-ray.

She started pooping normally after that, but (unfortunately, with me not knowing) my husband dialed back on the Miralax thinking she didn’t need it anymore.

Fast forward to this past Monday, we are at the vet again because she hasn’t pooped. Another enema was given since she was once again backed up, by 6pm that day she finally did.

This time they gave us lactose, another medicine i can’t recall the name of that is supposed to help move things along as they said, and continue the Miralax.

It is now Thursday, and still nothing. She has a VERY healthy appetite, isn’t refusing food, is active and chatty as usual. She is peeing in the litter box just fine, but shows no interest in wanting to poop. She isn’t even going in there and straining, it’s like she just … doesn’t WANT to even try and poop.

I dunno. I’m not sure what I’m even posting this here for. I’m just so frustrated and worried and scared. Like I’m failing her or I’m not doing enough. I’m truly at a loss of what to do and I’m just terrified of possibly losing her. She’s my soulcat, and not the unknown of what’s going on with her is killing me. I just wish she would poop, as funny as that sounds.
