I need guidance on my career path

Hi. Please excuse the burner account. Graduated in June 2024 with a 1st Class LLB, non Russell group. Anyways, got myself into a trainee paralegal role in August 2024 as my father is friends with my now supervisor. November 2024 I then started a solicitor apprenticeship. At this stage, I’m planning on sitting SQE1 in July 2026, and all going well, SQE2 in October 2026. If I pass that, I’m of course not far from qualification, but still got quite a long way to go.

I’m working in claimant housing disrepair, I hate it. Client’s are an utter pain in the ass, and my supervisor states I’m behind on my work, I don’t use my initiative, or . I’m too scared on the phone, or I’m too scared to approach him for assistance. All this stuff. He is an invisible supervisor, whereby he’s there to scrutinise me, but if I ask him for somethingi need to use my initiative. So of course I’m not going to be open and have open discussions. I’m 23 by the way. At the moment I hate it, the only thing keeping me going is that apprenticeship but even then I’m scared I’m going to fail. And that means another long long time. My future goals are to move to crime work, and then as everyone’s dream is, to open my own firm. But I need to get through this barrier. I go to work dreading the day, and get picked at for stupid things, then come home feeling like crap. And the story loops again. How cani stop this thinking. Shall I just pray it all goes well one day?
