Vest/Harness etc Recommendation

Had a radical nephrectomy. Surgery was rough but I’m ok. One side effect is that cinching my pants up with a belt has proven painful.

Anyone use a light vest or under-shirt harness for ccw? I’ll not be hanging anything from my waist for a while. Found info on line; too much info. Real world experience appreciated.
