Transferring boost to server tag

Hi! I currently have a boost on a server, but i would like to move it to another server, specifically to use to enable the server tag perk. However I can only see an option to transfer the boost to the server levels, and not the perk. Is there something i'm missing, or can a boost just not be transferred to a perk once it's already used somewhere?
