Parents suddenly want to visit

I am “inactive” and I live with my DF’d brother about six hours drive away from our parents. We used to live in the same city as them but moved after we both left being JWs.

We would have a small amount of contact here and there. They shun me a bit less than my brother because I am not officially DF’d. I used to text my mom fairly regularly but she always replies with kind of the bare minimum so I just lost interest in always initiating.

Out of the blew out dad sends us all a group text to say he mailed us something, and when it arrives to FaceTime them. So we do. It was just a DVD collection for a show we used to watch together.

Now on the call they say they are planning a little trip near our area and want to stop by and see our house.

Was there some new light about visiting DF’d family? What are the rules now? Are they allowed to eat with us? Our dad has recently become an elder after us leaving.
