Should I cancel my order?

I bought a doll from a seller over a month ago now and the shipping still says awaiting package. I messaged the seller and they said they dropped it off at ups and it would update. It never did so I contacted her again and she said she would check. Awhile went by so I messaged again and she said she had to get a new qr code for the package and that the tracking number would update. It hasn't and she's now stopped responding to me. She has all 5 star reviews so im not sure if this really is a shipping error and I should wait it out or if she just never shipped in the first place. I did contact mercari at this point but I really want my item, so im not sure if I should just wait it out or go ahead and cancel?
